In this post about attempts to defend Joe Biden’s economic policies, I wrote that “[even] left-liberals don’t really believe much in Biden’s spending programs.” If this column by left-liberal Washington Post economics writer Catherine Rampell is any indication, I may have overstated that faction’s enthusiasm for Biden’s policies.
Biden apologists assure us that Biden’s policies will bear fruit in a decade or two. But the title of Rampell’s column is “The legacy of Bidenomics: Maybe not much at all.” Ouch.
The subtitle is at least as damning: “Biden struggled to implement economic policies that will endure past his presidency.” That presidency lapses in a matter of days.
