Dick Cheney endorses Kamala Harris

Does his endorsement make sense and will it have an impact?

Dick Cheney has announced that he will vote for Kamala Harris. He stated:

In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump.

With respect, and I do respect the former vice president, Cheney should brush up on his civil war history.

Dick Cheney hates Trump, and not without cause. However, personal hatred of Trump is not a good reason to vote for Kamala Harris, whose positions and career are the antithesis of nearly everything Cheney stands for — or stood for in his prime.
