Yesterday, Kamala Harris urged those disappointed in the election outcome to “stay in the fight” and “fight for our ideals.” I’m sure that most Democrats are disappointed in the election outcome, though not as disappointed as Harris. But there’s no chance they will give up their fight against Donald Trump and his MAGA agenda or their quest to transform America.

The fact that leftists aren’t smashing things and liberals aren’t claiming that Russia tilted the election in Trump’s favor doesn’t mean either faction is giving up the fight. Democrats didn’t smash things or blame foreigners when George W. Bush was reelected in 2004. Republicans didn’t do any of this after Barack Obama’s two victories. In neither case, did the defeated party and its supporters act much differently than the Democrats and their supporters are acting now. And in neither case did they give up the fight.

Democrats are simply catching their breath. It won’t be long before they are in full opposition mode.
