It seems that Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’ leader on the ground (or in a tunnel), wants a ceasefire deal. This, despite the group’s anger over the killing of it political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran. To me, that’s clear evidence that Hamas as a fighting force is on its last legs and that Sinwar is running out of places to hide.

This version of reality runs counter to our media’s line on the war. As Andrew Fox, a Research Fellow at the Henry Jackson Society and a lecturer at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, puts it:
