Hi Paul, I have followed you since the days of Powerline. Though I have not always agreed with you regarding Trump, I always thought you were fair.

I agree with you 100% this time. Yes, it is time to move on. Trump has transformed the GOP, very much for the better. But he is a wrecking ball who creates chaos. He is the start-up entrepreneur who creates a disruptive business but needs to step away to allow others to manage it.

Alas, Trump will not go down without a fight. He would rather see the GOP burn to the ground then to walk away gracefully. Hopefully I am wrong.

Thanks, Bill. I'm glad you've followed me here.

I don't think you're wrong about Trump. There will have to be a fight.

Trump defeated Hillary and gave us good judges at a critical moment. I never voted for him, but I have to concede that much. But enough is enough. America first, not Trump. For the good of the nation and the only party that truly cares about it, it’s time to dump Trump and move on.

By the way, your old buddy John at PowerLine has just savaged Trump and declared that it is time to move on. Perhaps when Steve decides he’s done using PL for promoting himself and his various wares he’ll agree, and then you can put the band back together. Just a thought.

Drat. I was going to make fun of John for making a fool of himself with that post, but didn't get around to it in time.

You're an election denier doing Putin's work for him. Are you even paid for it?

For what it’s worth, here’s my take this morning: Young people, especially women have been brainwashed into believing the GOP is basically the Nazi party reincarnated. This does not bode well for our future. But here’s the bottom line. The US is a 47%~47% nation. The 6% in the mushy middle decide who wins. And they hate trump and his preferred candidates and will never be persuaded otherwise. It’s not right. It’s not fair. But it’s reality. Because of this, Trump will not win in 2024. He should bow out gracefully now before this whole thing gets too ugly.

Trump: you can’t win with him, and probably can’t win without him. We are pretty much screwed. Your non-cis-gendered Gen Z District Commissar will see you each week for your cricket protein ration and disinformation vaccine. Also keep you cell clean for monthly checks, comrade! Did you know that Chelsea Clinton’s husband is on the board of Ann Romney’s charity? And you thought there was no such thing as a RINO! LOL!

Kemp and Raffensperger won without Trump. So did DeSantis, for all intents and purposes.
