"Trump will win and be awful, rendered ineffectual by his narcissism"

Ya mean like The Last Time?

Not sure if you're aware of this but being narcissistic (big ego) is pretty much a prerequisite for getting into politics ie "Why Yes I Can Solve This. In Fact I'm The Only One Who Can!" Think most politicians.

I think things would be just fine under Trump, and a darn sight better than they would be under Biden.

BTW, there's an interesting sidelight involving Martha Gellhorn. She, like her husband Ernest Hemingway, was a player. Both were in the European Theater during WWII, and while Ernie was away Martha played with General James Gavin, commander from the front of the 82nd Airborne Division and youngest two star in the army. "Tumulty’s take is that if Americans elect, or come close to electing, the “authoritarian,” if not dictatorial, Donald Trump, it will show “who we are” — a sick nation that’s comfortable with white supremacy and insurrection."

She says this like its some sort of Bad Thing!
