Strongly disagree. PL was a much better site with Paul. His posts on politics were always the first ones I would read. I wasn’t always in agreement, but I liked getting a well stated point of view that made me rethink mine. Many PL readers didn’t like that, which is unfortunate. Also, pretty much everything Paul writes on politics are his opinions. Saying that he’s telling lies makes absolutely no sense.
Hey Clarence -- when Paul says that the GOP members of the House were "excluded" from the J6 Committee, he purports to state a fact. Not an opinion.
It happens that his statement is flatly, provably false.
These GOP House members, to a person, entirely on their own (but likely fearing a Tangerine howl and primary threat)... CHOSE to "take a smoke break". To sit it all... out. Despite their sworn duties to the voters.
So, no -- that's not an opinion. That is a false assertion of fact by Paul. And yes, he is smarter than the ALL Powerline remaining writers (put together)... but sometimes also less... honest.
As above.
That was an is my central point. Oh. And BTW, and it completely undercuts his major premise here.
Carlson is almost the only person in mainstream media (and certainly the most prominent) that willing to even entertain the idea of questioning the government narratives. For this heresy, he must be destroyed. You’ll never get the truth when you are destroyed for asking tough questions.
10 years ago I would have agreed with this opinion but given how The New York Times and the Washington Post basically became mouthpieces for the Democrat party throughout the entire Russia Collusion fiction, I honestly don't care about appearing impartial anymore. I was in DC on Jan 6 and saw the president speak at the ellipse. I'm no fan of Trump's (my father who I was accompanying is) and we were lucky that we didn't get swept up in the mob that entered the Capitol building. We got about a few hundred meters away and decided to head to our hotel after hours of being on our feet in the cold. The people who did get caught up in it are not being treated fairly. Our government has jumped the shark.
Good post. It's a little rich for the Kangaroo courters to fear Tucker Carlson might present a distorted view of the events of January 6. Jim Dueholm
Paul Mirengoff -- telling new lies -- exactly the same as he used to, at sad old decrepit Powerline:

Cheers.
You certainly put me in my place, slick. I’m humbled.

Almost everything the government has told us about the events at the Capitol on January 6th is a lie. As per usual. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/02/new-video-of-ray-epps-hurling-giant-trump-sign-at-police-on-jan-6-but-was-never-arrested-like-several-trump-supporters-who-touched-that-same-sign-video/
