Good post. As issues to be addressed, I would include Afghanistan bug out and the open border. And as subjects for adds, as opposed to focus of the Republican candidates, I would include Biden corruption and his self-concern and lack of empathy in Afghanistan, East Palestine and Hawaii. Jim Dueholm.
The reason I didn't include the Hunter Biden story is that it, and its links to Joe specifically, are not yet sufficiently developed and proved. I think the debaters, each with very limited time, should stick with stuff voters will immediately recognize as Biden failures that have made their own lives and their kids' lives worse.

The Afghan bug-out is a good idea. It was a thoughtless and cowardly act, and to this day is getting our former allies tortured and killed, as even the Washington Post admits in this piece today, https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/interactive/2023/afghanistan-allies-stuck-visas/?utm_campaign=wp_week_in_ideas&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&wpisrc=nl_ideas. Its value is that it shows Biden's character: When you abandon to the mercies of the Taliban the people who stood by you, what kind of person are you?

I agree on the Hunter Biden saga. In my comment I said the saga should be a subject for ads, not debaters. Jim Dueholm
Of course they should not attack each other. That used to be understood. Now it's open season. It's how ended up with Trump.
